How to Measure a Replacement Belt
Provide the belt width, total thickness, inner or neutral-line circumference, surface groove pitch and depth, direction of travel and pulley diameters. State the product being conveyed, belt speed, tension method, operating temperature and any oil or chemical contact. A used sample is useful when groove geometry or reinforcement is uncertain.
Selection Note
Correct tracking and pulley alignment are as important as the belt compound. A replacement should be installed with the specified tension and checked for edge contact before full-speed operation.
